Excursion to Bayer AG and Evonik AG
As part of the lecture "White Biotechnology; Strain Optimization and Fermentation", Dr. Andreas Karau visited Bayer AG and Evonik AG together with students from the Bachelor's and Master's degree courses in the BCI department.
Our Bachelor's and Master's students from the BCI department went on an exciting excursion last week. They visited the production site of Bayer AG in Bergkamen and the innovative Rheticus pilot plant of Evonik AG in Marl. The plant visit was a great opportunity for the students to deepen the theoretical content of their studies with a practical insight. We would like to thank Dr. Andreas Karau once again from the bottom of our hearts for the wonderful lecture and the organization of the excursions. We would also like to thank Bayer AG and Evonik AG for the friendly welcome and the extensive program.
