New employee from January 1, 2026
Sinja Behnisch starts as a doctoral student at the chair. We wish her all the best for the start and good luck with her doctoral thesis.
Sinja Behnisch will join the BPT team in January 2026. She will carry out her practical work at a company in the chemical industry. Her dissertation focuses on the optimisation, automation and mathematical modelling of the fermentative production of chemical building blocks using modern PAT sensors.
Sinja completed her bachelor's and master's degrees in bioengineering at TU Dortmund University. She also wrote her external master's thesis under the supervision of BPT on the topic of ‘Innovative PAT approaches in fed-batch fermentations: integration of infrared spectroscopy and capacitance measurement’.
