At the end of the 2024 design project, the students visited EGLV's Bottrop wastewater treatment plant and exchanged ideas with experts.

As part of this year's design project, an industry-related project in the Bachelor's degree program in Biological and Chemical Engineering, Ronja Weidemann and 10 Bachelor's students designed a new process for recycling phosphorus from wastewater. As a conclusion to their theoretical work, they were able to visit the Bottrop wastewater treatment plant with the largest digestion towers of its kind as part of an excursion on August 20 and exchange ideas with experts such as Hanna Evers (Ruhrverband) and Dr. Daniel Klein (EGLV). We would like to thank you once again for making the excursion possible and for the successful exchange of expertise.
